Headteacher honoured in King’s Birthday Honours List

We are delighted to share that Asif Bhatti, Headteacher of Town Farm School, has been named in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2026 and awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to education.

This national recognition reflects Mr Bhatti’s sustained commitment to improving outcomes for children, raising standards, and championing inclusion not just across the school community but also through his capacity as an advisor, author and speaker in the wider sectors of emotional wellbeing and mental health, inclusion, equity and the school inspection practice. Under his leadership, Town Farm School has continued to strengthen its culture of high expectations, exceptional pastoral care, and academic excellence, ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

Speaking about the honour, Mr Bhatti said:

"I am delighted and humbled to receive this recognition. It is thanks to the extraordinary staff, children, families and wider community of Town Farm School in Stanwell, whose commitment and support are at the heart of everything we achieve together."

Cathy Waters, Chair of Governors, said:

“This is a richly deserved honour for Mr Bhatti. His unwavering commitment, moral purpose and inspirational leadership have had a profound impact on our school community and beyond. We are incredibly proud of him and grateful for the difference he continues to make for our children and families.”

On behalf of the governing board, staff and pupils, we extend our warmest congratulations on this truly well-deserved recognition.
