Every Child, Every Day, Every Moment

Week beginning 6th July

Hello year 2 superstars, how are you all doing this week?

Thankfully it has been slightly cooler this week – a bit more manageable we think! Hopefully you’ve still found some time to get outside and do some exercise, whether that be a walk, run or cycle. Don’t forget how important it is to keep your brain and body active – and keep drinking lots of water to stay hydrated.

For your learning this week we have planned some more fun activities. For English you will be reading ‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’. You have got some comprehension to complete, a word game to learn about word classes, a designing activity and a writing activity. For maths you are going to be learning about money – another important skill that will follow you through your life. We hope you will enjoy continuing to learn about the circus in IPC learning and not to forget the spellings and online activities that we have also provided.

Please make sure you are completing some, if not all, of your learning each day as it is important that you keep up the good work whilst you are not in school. The activities we have included are nice and not too challenging, and you have the online activities as an alternative. We’ve seen some more fabulous learning this week via email and the school post box – look out for your emails if this was you. We look forward to seeing more of your lovely learning next week, keep sending it in – remember your name and class name so we can identify who you are.

We hope you will join us in wishing Freddie a very Happy Birthday for next week! We hope you enjoy celebrating with your family and have lots of fun. Keep checking back, we look forward to celebrating more in the coming weeks.

Hopefully you’ve enjoyed lots of quality time with families and have shared lots of memories. We miss you lots at school and can’t wait to hear all about it when we return! We are ever so proud of all the hard work you have been doing – year 2 superstars!

Sending our best wishes to you all,

From Miss Logan, Miss Peerless-Brewerton, Miss Goodman, Mrs Mee and Mr Hadley.
