Week beginning 29th June
Week beginning 29 June 2020
Dear Year 3,
We hope you and your families are all keeping well and safe.
I hope you managed to have a look at some of the fabulous resources that we uploaded for you last week!
Thank you so much to those pupils who have sent in amazing pieces of your home learning so far. Remember, if you have selected pieces of your home learning you’re proud of please send them in to our phase email (lowerks2@town-farm.surrey.sch.uk) Remember to include your class and first name in the subject line of the email so that we know who the fantastic work belongs to! Alternatively, you can pop your home learning into the bright red post box outside the school gates. Mrs Harris, Mrs Kaleem and Miss French always look forward to reading your work and celebrating your efforts.
This week in our home learning, we will be going back to our fractions learning and looking at equivalent fractions. Remember there are always the maths games assigned to you on Mangahigh as well. In English, you have a text called ‘Henry’s Freedom Box’ and the activities will cover predicting, mapping of events and using possessive apostrophes. Finally, we are coming to the end of our IPC Islands topic so this week’s online lessons give you the chance to explore some different locations around the world and create a fact file comparing and contrasting the different places. I wonder where in the world you would most like to visit and why?
Remember, it is important that you do some, if not all of your home learning every day. This will keep your mind active and help you keep important routines going. Try and get some exercise each day too if you can; perhaps you could go for a walk, cycle or ride a scooter, go on a nature hunt or even make your own bug hotel!
We are so proud of you all and of all the hard work you have been doing during this time. Keep it up Year 3 superstars!
Lastly, remember to stay safe, be kind to one another and don’t forget to talk to your parent(s)/carer(s) if anything is worrying you, or you can send a message to our phase email and your teacher will be able to respond to you.
Sending our very best wishes to you all,
Mrs Kaleem, Mrs Harris, Miss French, Mrs Dowse, Mrs Bitmead, Mr Kyle and Mrs Siddiqui
