Hello year 2, how are you all doing this week?
It has been an extremely hot week, we hope you have all kept yourselves safe and hydrated. We hope you’ve enjoyed spending some time outside as well, at school we have been doing some learning outside – perhaps you have been doing the same or could try that next week!
For your learning this week in English you will be reading ‘Pattan’s Pumpkin’ and completing your activities; explore it, illustrate it, talk about it, imagine it, create it. You also have a comprehension activity about chickens. For maths you are learning about telling the time – this is a very important skill that will follow you through your life. Your IPC learning this week is a new and exciting topic all about the circus – we hope you enjoy and we wish we were joining you with it! Don’t forget you have also got your spellings to practice and the online links to learning.
As always, please remember that your learning is still important whilst you are at home so that you can continue to grow smarter. We have really enjoyed seeing your learning that you have sent via email or dropped into the post box – we will send you a message to give you feedback. Keep sending more learning in – we are really excited to see what you have all been doing at home. Remember to include your name and your class name so that we know who’s work we are looking at.
We wonder what exercise you’ve been doing this week – even if it’s too hot you still need to make sure you are keeping active, just ensure you are drinking plenty of water and taking lots of breaks. Perhaps go for a walk in the morning or later in the day, or maybe you’ve been doing some exercise indoors. It is important to keep as active as possible to keep your body and mind healthy.
We hope you will join us in wishing Ahmed a very Happy Birthday for next week! We hope you enjoy celebrating with your family and have lots of fun. Keep checking back, we look forward to celebrating more in the coming weeks.
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed lots of quality time with families and have shared lots of memories. We miss you lots at school and can’t wait to hear all about it when we return! We are ever so proud of all the hard work you have been doing – year 2 superstars!
Sending our best wishes to you all,
From Miss Logan, Miss Peerless-Brewerton, Miss Goodman, Mrs Mee and Mr Hadley.
