Town Farm Primary School

Every Child, Every Day, Every Moment

Week beginning 22nd June

Hello year 2, how are you all doing this week?

We have prepared some more exciting learning for you for this week. Alongside your usual activities, you will be reading a new book in English – ‘The Man on the Moon’,  and we have included another comprehension activity. In maths you will be continuing to practice addition and subtraction – using your reasoning skills. For IPC you will be spending the week making and editing your video. We have also included some more spellings for you to practice and remember there are links to online learning if you are finding anything too tricky or fancy a change. There is no Jigsaw learning set for this week – you could use your spare time this week to think about things that you are thankful for and continue to remind yourself and your family how important it is to keep washing your hands and stay safe!

Please remember that whilst you are not at school it is important that you keep working hard so that you can continue to grow smarter, and remember that we are so proud of the hard work that you have been doing. We were so excited to see some fabulous learning this week and are looking forward to seeing more from you all! Here is a reminder of how you can show us:

  1. Your parents can take a picture of your favourite piece of learning for the week and send it to the phase email address – ks1@town-farm.surrey.sch.uk

  2. The email will need to have your first name and your class name in the subject line so we know who has sent the learning in!

  3. You can post your favourite piece of learning in the new school ‘learning post box’ – this will be outside the main school gates between 8.30 and 10am daily, for you to post your work.

We wonder what physical exercise you have been doing this week? Perhaps you’ve continued doing indoor workouts or yoga or maybe you’ve been outside in the rain enjoying a walk! Remember to try and keep as active as possible – not only is this good for your body but it is also good for keeping your mind healthy and active. It’s great to take a movement break and keep your body working!

We hope that Oscar had a fabulous Birthday last week and enjoyed spending time with family celebrating and having lots of laughs. There are no birthdays coming up this week but keep checking back here – we look forward to wishing more of you a Happy Birthday in the coming weeks!

Lastly, we hope you’ve spent lots of quality time with your families and shared lots of memories. We miss you all very much here at school and we can’t wait to hear all about your time at home. We are so proud of all of you and the hard work you have been doing during this time. Keep it up – year 2 superstars! Keep helping your parents and stay safe!

Sending our best wishes to you all, from Miss Logan, Miss Peerless-Brewerton, Miss Goodman, Mrs Mee and Mr Hadley.
