Hello year 2, how are you all doing?
We have prepared some more exciting learning for you for this week. You will be reading a new book in English and have a comprehension activity. In maths you will be practising addition and subtraction. For IPC you will be learning how to record a video and for Jigsaw you are learning about the different stages of life. There are some more links to online learning if you are finding anything too tricky or fancy a change. Please remember that whilst you are not at school it is important that you keep working hard so that you can continue to grow smarter, and remember that we are so proud of the hard work that you have been doing. We are so excited to see what learning you have been doing at home and we’d love to see your best bits! From this week there are two ways that you can share your learning with us:
Your parents can take a picture of your favourite piece of learning for the week and send it to the phase email address – KS1@town-farm.surrey.sch.uk
The email will need to have your first name and your class name in the subject line so we know who has sent the learning in!
You can post your favourite piece of learning in the new, school ‘learning post box’ – this will be outside the school gates in the mornings for you to post your hard work.
Are any of you still doing Joe Wicks’ workouts on YouTube? They are great fun and we can’t wait to see how much stronger you’ve grown from continuing to exercise daily. Another way of keeping active is to do some yoga – type ‘cosmic kids yoga’ into YouTube and you’ll find some fantastic themed yoga videos, we know you enjoy these at school – there’s a Harry Potter one and a Trolls one! Hopefully you’ve been enjoying a daily walk if you have been able to!
We understand that there have been many birthdays celebrated during lockdown! to Georgia, Cayssey, Zac, Imogen, Rosie, Antonia, Shirley-Jean, Alfie and Hamza who have all celebrated their birthdays – we hope you had fun and found a way to make it exciting! to Oscar who has celebrated his birthday this week. Keep checking back here – we look forward to wishing more of you a in the coming weeks!
Lastly, we hope you’ve spent lots of quality time with your families and shared lots of memories. We miss you all very much here at school and we can’t wait to hear all about your time in lockdown when we return. We are so proud of all of you and the hard work you have been doing during this time. Keep it up – Year 2 superstars! Keep helping your parents and stay safe!
Sending our best wishes to you all, from Miss Logan, Miss Peerless-Brewerton, Miss Goodman, Mrs Mee and Mr Hadley.
